Ribeira Sacra Wine Region, Northwest of Spain

Leaving the Ribeiro wine region, we drove an hour North East for a personalized wine tasting, followed by spectacular view from a local mirador, and to a hillside delicious lunch followed by a mountain hotel stay where we enjoyed the setting sun.

Ribeira Sacra is a wine region in northwest Spain, specifically in the region of Galicia. It's known for its unique terraced vineyards along the Miño and Sil rivers, making it a "heroic viticulture" region. The region's wines are characterized by their high acidity and are largely made from the Mencía grape, with both red and white wines being produced. .
